PJ's Pancake House - West Windsor

This happened on Sunday around 2 PM. Came in to pick up my online order. Nobody at the front. Standing around waiting. Then I see the waitress (ginger/auburn hair) come out from the back holding a takeout bag. Then she proceeds to stand there and chat for ~10 mins while my food is getting nice and cold. Then she finally brings me my food. I get home. And the order is missing the “shoe string fries”

The food was not good. We ordered a Nutella, banana, & strawberry crepe and 2 tres leches pancakes with a side of scrambled eggs. The crepe barely had any Nutella whatsoever. The pancakes were burned & were served with a moldy brown strawberry on top. There was barely any tres leches sauce on top (you couldn't tell it had sauce at all), and they expected you to pour a large amount of cheap syrup on them instead. The manager brought me a ramekin of tres leches sauce after I asked. The eggs were dry and completely unseasoned. For the price, I expected much better. No wonder they don't have pictures on their menu... the food is underwhelming & moldy, and your drink will be cold before the food gets out. Save your time & money & don't go here.

Great place for brunch on the weekends. Gets pretty busy waiting for a table but we were able to sit at the counter immediately. We got the chicken and waffles and the puerco old fashioned potato cake. The waffle was nice and crispy but the chicken was just plain chicken tenders. The puerco was flavorful with just the right amount of spicy but it could’ve been a little crispier around the edges.

Highly disappointed, and no not with the staff a the staff is phenomenal. The food is where the problem is. To be fair, the pancakes themselves are really good BUT PJ's Pancake House fails with the rest. Coffee - mediocre at best, and for such a pricy location, it would be great to add flavors other than "decaf or regular" lattes or cappuccino. The coffee is more like water than actual coffee - so for that the coffee gets a 3 out of 10. Pancakes are great, but other places for the price at least add sugar powder and much better quality syrup so for that 7.5 out of 10. Bacon and sausage were old and cold, so for that - 1 out of 10! Cutlery and water vase/water glass are all cheap plastic that has a million lashes (lol) - old and beat up. Hence for the water vase, water cups, and dinnerware - PJs gets a 0 out of 10. This is where PJs falls flat on their face -- Canned apples for such a pricy location AND "SMUCKERS!" as their choice of honey and jams?! PJs, COME ON! You can do way better ESPECIALLY for the price. For this reason, this PJs gets a 2 out of 10. This is what we call in the business - "Cutting corners to profit for the short term but lack the quality to stay afloat for the

Mixed experience at this restaurant. Starting with the downside—based on friends’ recommendations, I visited for brunch with my kids. The place was packed, and while I waited at the counter, I noticed that the two servers on duty were working hard to accommodate everyone. However, they were so busy that it took 5–10 minutes before we were even acknowledged. Now, the good part—once we got a table, the service improved significantly. The servers were warm, courteous, and quick to assist with our order. The food not only looked great but also tasted delicious! Overall, while the initial wait was frustrating, the quality of the food and the friendly service once seated made up for it.
